"Ego death is characterized as the perceived loss of boundaries between self and environment."
After experiencing ego death at its finest, I decided to make a painting depicting the almost scary, yet eye-opening experience. It's not necessarily an uncomfortable experience for everyone, but can be quite odd. Its the boundary between seeing yourself as human, and melting into everything else that exists around you. You do not feel a sense of self, but may question the entirely of the human race. Earlier this week someone told me NOT to paint someone with this expression, because it is "weird," or "horrific." It may be something different, but it is something new.
